DESCRIPTION:

A new sixth-form College constructed on a sloping site partly situated over the shoulder of a steep embankment.

The Client wanted a modern engineered building to act as a showpiece to attract private inward investment into the school for further development.

The building comprises a fully exposed internal tubular steel framework with feature stainless steel connections. The sub-structure comprises piled foundations with a concrete retaining wall system to permit construction over the embankment shoulder.

This building forms part of an overall development comprising various new buildings with an overall construction budget of £3.0 million.
