Our work strives to enhance our sense of surroundings, identity and relationship to others and the physical spaces we inhabit, whether feral or human-made.
The Brainwave Centre specializes in the treatment of brain-damaged children. The construction of the new hydro-therapy pool is a major extension of their treatment facilities. The extension fits tightly between existing buildings, but has a distinctive appearance of its own. The roof is a “plate” of Douglas fir boarding supported on glued laminated timber beams and the glass block wall floods the pool with natural daylight.
