Our work strives to enhance our sense of surroundings, identity and relationship to others and the physical spaces we inhabit, whether feral or human-made.
The project started as an investigation of cracking in the cement render of the gable wall of this listed house. This revealed that beneath was an oak frame, in places in a very delicate condition and with the panels in a poor state. The decision was taken to remove the cement render from the whole house and expose the timber frame. O’Brien & Price Cheltenham inspected and specified the temporary works, the remedial timber repairs and worked with the Architect to develop the remedial details for the panels utilising lime render.
