Our work strives to enhance our sense of surroundings, identity and relationship to others and the physical spaces we inhabit, whether feral or human-made.
St Mary’s Church, Ripple, Tewkesbury is 900 years old and has suffered severe structural movements, some dating back centuries. To arrest accelerating deterioration O’Brien & Price Cheltenham have worked closely with the Architect and English Heritage in specifying major remedial works, including grouting of the tower piers and walls and grouting and tying of the transept walls. The buttresses at the west gable, were approaching collapse and emergency shoring was installed, designed to accommodate their eventual replacements. The new buttresses were pre-loaded to prevent movement of the delicate masonry.
